We would be way more amped  for work today if we were rocking this navy, on navy, on navy look.

Holiday, Celebrate

Something Special for ...Your Mom:

She's always there for you, even if it's just to administer a friendly reminder that you don’t have the genetic makeup for skinny jeans.

(Because there is no such thing as too many cookie recipes)

(Because she's not a regular mom, she's a cool mom)

(Because there is only one cure when dad is being a pain in the ass)

Miss Ten Below

(Free People Trapper Hat)

(Kate Spade Left Right Mittens)

(Tommy Hilfiger Duck Boots)

With all of the wonderful Holiday activities that we have planned (kicking off with tonight's Monument Lighting) we're in dire need of a few winter essentials.  From playful to practical, here are a few of our cold weather picks.

K.I.S.S.

As much as we enjoy our complicated kitchen endeavors, our weeknight schedules don’t always allow us to indulge. Rather than turning to frozen veggies (eww) as a side dish, we often whip up these easy and delicious roast potatoes. Ready in under 30 minutes and presentable to boot, they are the perfect accompaniment to anything from Boeuf Bourguignon to last night's leftovers.

Burn Baby Burn

Snowy Tree Candle
(Aunt Saddie's Tree in a Can Candle)

While we've been busy planning Holiday parties, and dreaming up DIY wreaths, we totally forgot that we can't have a tree this year. This heartbreaking realization is the result of some precious, yet destructive new family members (yes, we are crazy cat people). Completely prepared to accept our scrooged fate, we remembered an awesome candle that we spotted at Red Tree in Hampden recently. Of the zillions of drool worthy curiosities this local gem has to offer, we kept revisiting this pine scented wonder. The best part is, with 70 hours of burn time, we can enjoy that warm fuzzy feeling long after USA stops re-airing ''Elf''.

Go Away!

The city of Baltimore has spent the past two days sopping wet. Traffic is a nightmare, the sun is on hiatus, and we look awful with wet hair. Construction on our ark begins promptly at Noon.
